Iwatobi White Day 2014: Gift Guidelines

The gift giving period for 2014 is now closed! (But there's always next year. :D)





HOW GIFTING WORKS

• Anyone is welcome to give gifts!
  • You do not have to have your own shoe locker to leave a gift.
  • You do not have to be a Secret Admirer to leave a gift.
  • You do not have to have a Dreamwidth account to leave a gift (but if you want one, you can create a free account by clicking here).
• There is no obligation to put anything into anyone's shoe locker, even if you've submitted a wishlist—although Iwatobi-chan hopes you'll want to! The more we all put into this, the more we'll all get out of it. :D
• Rather than assignments, everyone is encouraged to browse the lockers and create gifts inspired by the wishlists. You might do it for a friend or a crush or someone you admire or even someone you don't know whose wishlist details are relevant to your interests.

GIFT GUIDELINES

• There are no limits on the number of gifts you may give.
• Gifts may be art, comics, fic, vids, fanmixes, icons and other graphics, simple wishes of holiday cheer, or whatever you can think of/want to give.
  • Please do not use art or anything else created by another fan without their explicit permission.
• Gifts should be original works, previously unposted anywhere.
• There are no requirements or minimums for these gifts: drabbles/comment fic and sketches are very welcome and highly encouraged; longer and more complicated pieces are also allowed, as is everything in between. 
  • Having said that, please keep in mind that what you're giving is a gift. ;)
  • Gifts should be complete and stand on their own or be accompanied by a companion gift piece.

• This probably goes without saying, but please respect everyone's wishlist details (that is, try to give them something from their "likes" and don't include anything from "dislikes").
• Since we're all about celebrating and sharing the love here, we do ask that you kindly refrain from gifts that involve character- and/or ship-bashing. Thank you for helping Iwatobi-chan keep the Free!dom a happy and comfortable place for everyone!

POSTING GIFTS

• To leave a gift, card, or message for someone, click on "~leave a love note~" at the bottom of their shoe locker post.
  
  • For help, see the Dreamwidth FAQ on Comments.
• While you're encouraged to take credit for your gifts, anonymous commenting is on if you don't have a Dreamwidth account or if you're in a shy or mysterious mood. 
• Comments to the shoe locker posts will be screened until the reveal on White Day, March 14th. This means you can post a gift here at any time and it will be kept secret until White Day.
  
  • Please do not post gifts anywhere else until the day after the reveal, since that might ruin the fun of the surprise. ;D (To avoid confusion, Iwatobi-chan will make an announcement once the reveal is over and you're free to post all over the place.)
• Please post gifts directly to the shoe lockers here. Use as many comments as you like or need to — that's what they're there for!
• Shoe Lockers will remain open for gifts until the end of March 16th are closed for 2014 gifts.
